Meet The Team

Cheryl started pet sitting in 2001, at first for friends, and then professionally. Along the way, she has found homes for over 40 cats and kittens. She is the captain of her neighborhood watch and is active in all her community activities. She also captured several cats in her neighborhood, and, with the help and kindness of her vet, had them all spayed and neutered. She also helped rescued a golden retriever, who was being abused and is now in a loving home. Cheryl was raised with many animals, many dogs, rabbits, 3 horses, 3 raccoons, 3 chickens and 3 ducks. She has been working with Buckhead Paws for nearly two years, and currently shares her home with three kitties, Squeaky, Dinky, and Babycakes.

Nathan has been in the pet care industry for about 10 years, working at Vinings’ Important Pets and volunteering at the Atlanta Humane Society, greeting customers and taking care of the animals. Dogs tend to love Nathan because of his kind heart; he has an immediate connection with any dog or cat. He doesn’t mind a wet kiss on the face and does his best to please every dog he meets by giving tummy rubs or just keeping them company. Nathan recently graduated from Reinhardt University with a B.A. in Communication Arts.

Jennifer was a sales manager in corporate America for 15 years. She had dogs growing up and has owned one or two all her adult life. She is married and lives in the Buckhead – Brookhaven area. She currently has two small mixed “rescues” from a kill shelter in Calhoun, Ga. When she traveled a lot for work, she genuinely appreciated the people who took care of her beagle, Bailey. Buckhead Paws has given her the opportunity to give back to fellow dog lovers.

Laura is one of those very rare breeds: an Atlanta native, currently residing in Buckhead. She absolutely adores animals, and finds it impossible to be in a bad mood when surrounded by pets. As a young adult, she experienced a number of different career paths, but realized early on that her passion lies in animals. Because of her love for animals, pet sitting is a gratifying reward instead of a  “job”. In the ten years she has been in this field, she can honestly say she treats every pet as her own. She’ll provide quality care for your fur babies, and she looks forward to expanding her animal circle!

Briana Pic Briana

Lights, Camera, Action! Briana is our new dog walker on the scene. She is a native of Atlanta, and graduated from Spelman College in 2013 with a Bachelors of Arts. When she isn’t auditioning or in acting class, she is walking dogs with Buckhead Paws. She has 3 dogs of her own: Jackson the beagle, Toby the maltipoo, and Max the Chow mix. She has a real love for all of God’s creatures, great and small. Welcome to the team, Briana!

Dan Website PicDan

Dan is one of our longest-tenured walkers: he’s been working with us since his sophomore year of college, back in 2010. He graduated from Oglethorpe University, where he studied Mathematics. After graduation, he took a job in the corporate world as a software developer. Two years later, he decided it was time to get out of the cubicle and back out into the fresh air – he’s been walking pups since. He really enjoys spending time with his furry clients – they’re always really happy to see him! Also, he’s noticed that the best-behaved dogs tend to come along with the best-behaved owners – if owners stay calm and positive, their critters will usually follow suit.

Dog walker atlantaMargaret

Ever since she was little, Margaret has loved animals. Dogs, cats, birds, fish, even hermit crabs . . .  she’s had them all! Margaret began working for Buckhead Paws as one of her very first jobs back in 2010 when she was still in high school. She is now a recent graduate of Oglethorpe University, where she majored in English and minored in Japanese. She loves taking care of animals of all kinds and sizes – and, not surprisingly, both the 2-legged AND the 4-legged clients love her!

Atlanta dog walkerBrandi

Brandi says she’s a small-town country girl living in the big city world, and loving every minute of it!  She moved here two years ago and started pet sitting and dog walking, and now it has turned into a career that she deeply loves. Brandi takes a great deal of pride in and has a lot of passion for what she does with her clients and their fur babies. She always tries to spend extra time with the dogs or cats and play ball or fetch with them. This not only makes the furbabies happy because they get all that attention, it also makes the parents happy as well to know that their dog is being loved and getting their excess energy out. Brandi really believes she has the best job in the world! AND, she also loves doing overnights with her furry friends!

She’s greatly enjoying caring for them through Buckhead Paws.

“My goal in working with Buckhead Paws is to provide you with confidence and peace of mind. I will treat your pet with love, kindness and patience, just as your child or relative should be treated. When spending time with your dogs, I always tell them, “I’m like the grandma…..overprotective and cautious!”

pet sitting services in atlantaLynn

Growing up on a dairy farm in the small town of Hallstead, PA, Lynn was fortunate to connect with animals at a very young age. She seems to have a true gift when it comes to animals; she seems to calm them and make them feel comfortable just with her presence. One of Lynn’s clients has said, “I’ve never seen Stella accept someone so quickly, so I know you have a special love for pets.” After pursuing a career as a Mechanical Process Engineer, she discovered a couple years ago that it was not her life’s purpose. She has since co-founded a non-profit to help our veterans, and loves being a professional caregiver for pets.
