Finding Comfort In These Difficult Times
This is a really difficult time. We have so much negativity consuming us. We are rightly outraged at social injustice; the political divides between us only seem to grow larger; our economy is teetering on the brink of depression; and we are removed from family, friends, and everyday pleasures by the threat of a virus we can’t see.
Kindness, love, and compassion have never been more needed than they are now. It’s a good time to remember that our pets are unconditionally loving and are always there for us. In the midst of the turmoil, pause a moment, smooth the fur on your pet’s head, look them in the eye, and give them a long, deep hug. Not for them, but for yourself. Well, OK . . . for them, as well.
