It doesn’t happen often, but every once in a while, we’ll hear reports of a coyote roaming an Atlanta neighborhood. In fact, not long ago, one of our dog walkers was taking care of a pup who lives in Buckhead, and when she came around the corner of the house, she and her 4-legged client came face-to-face with a coyote. It’s hard to know who was more surprised: the pup, our dog walker, or the coyote, but the coyote turned and bolted immediately.
And usually that will be the case. Still, there are a few very practical things to keep in mind should this happen to you. Spend a few minutes with this article by Jaymi Heimbuch of The Urban Coyote Initiative so that if you ever come across a coyote, you’ll be prepared.
