We here at Buckhead Paws are fortunate to be doing something we love so much. Whether in Buckhead, Brookhaven, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, Midtown or Decatur, our clients invite us into their homes to care for their precious pets. We have the privilege of loving them, protecting them, caring for them, or keeping them company.
I’m thinking, for example, of Lincoln, the sweetest 9-year-old Black Lab ever. Lincoln has a tumor on his spine, and, while it’s not cancerous, it is growing inside the spinal sheath, and his prognosis is not good. His mom and dad are doing everything they can to inhibit the tumor, but the odds are against him. In the meantime, they’ve asked us to come and be with Lincoln when they need to be away. No walking, no feeding, just sit and love this sweet boy. It’s a gift for us to offer this type of pet sitting service: to be with this lovely dog, providing a Ministry of Presence.
Or there’s Bella, an adorable, high-energy nine-month-old Weimaraner. Her mom recently had a horrible fall and broke her leg in three places, requiring surgery. She won’t be able to walk Bella for weeks. She has asked us to help by providing pet taxi service: picking Bella up in the morning and taking her to doggie daycare, then picking her up from daycare at the end of the day and bringing her back home, tired and exhausted, but very happy. This is great for Bella, but it’s also helpful for her mom, as it’s a chance for us to see her twice a day, to check on her, and to see if there’s anything we can do to help her be a bit more comfortable.
We love pet sitting, dog walking, overnight stays, and providing pet taxi services here in Atlanta, and we find fulfillment and satisfaction in doing so. How can we be of service to you? Give us a call at 404-432-1192.
