Raindrops on roses . . .

“Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things”

So sang Julie Andrews in, “The Sound of Music”. I heard that song the other day, and, as my mind wandered, I began thinking of a few of my own favorite things — at least when it comes to Buckhead Paws. I won’t try to be as poetic and witty as Oscar Hammerstein II, but I would like to share a few of mine with you. They are:

When clients come back after a long absence. Just last week, a client who used us three-and-a-half years ago requested visits. I was thrilled that Daniel, their pet sitter from way back then, is still with us and available to help with their pups! And, another client—the parents of Olive, a nearly 11-year-old mixed Terrier—asked us to help; the last time we saw Olive, she was 8-months old! Ten years ago!

Helping in an emergency. At 10:30 Friday evening, we received a text from a client. She had fallen from a horse and was in the hospital to have surgery the next morning. Yikes! Was there any way we could walk her dogs twice a day starting Monday? We went into action first thing Saturday morning and began twice-a-day visits that very afternoon! Yay, Team! The client is home, recovering nicely, and grateful to see a friendly face when we arrive.

When clients express their appreciation to our team members. We are fortunate to have over 200 5-star reviews on Google, and many of them – not all, but LOTS – mention their pet sitter by name. I feel so proud when I see their names, and that public recognition means a great deal to them, as well. If you’ve had a good experience with your pet sitter and would be willing to acknowledge that in a Google review, just click here.

These are just “a few of my favorite things”! I could fill your inbox with happy stories.
