Social Distance And Your Best Doggie Friend

Social Distance And Your Best Doggie Friend

Isolation can get us all down, but pets can bring us special joy no matter what our circumstances are. With the warmer weather , there are plenty of opportunities to have fun with your furry friend(s). And on rainy days, there’s always snuggle and indoor playtime. Here are some suggestions for activities that haven’t been canceled:

1. Take him, her or them on a special hike, while respecting social distancing. The Beltline, parks, and  nature hikes are open. Here are some ideas:

Reminder: You know how hard it can be for dogs to drink out of a human’s water bottle, so bring a small or collapsible bowl to keep them hydrated. It’s also wise to pack a towel to dry off pups (or just clean their paws) before they hop back in the car.

2. If you’re venturing out to a restaurant, how about one with a pet-friendly patio? The Ultimate List of  Dog-Friendly Patios in Atlanta.

3. Watch a dog-themed movie and snuggle on the couch! One dog we know is fascinated by watching The Wizard of Oz, especially the Munchkins.

4. If you don’t want to or can’t leave the house, book a dog walk with Buckhead Paws. Our “Daily Dog Walks” are 20-30 minutes, while “Extended Dog Walks’ are 45-60 minutes. Book online to give yourself and your pooch this special treat!
